To determine the appropriate cable length, follow these steps:
- Measure from the control along an unobstructed cable routing to the center of the outboard.
- Ensure a minimum bend radius of 8 inches is maintained.
- Add four feet to allow for a loop that provides unrestricted engine movement.
- Round up to the next whole foot.
- Select the corresponding cable part number, where the last two digits indicate the cable length in feet.
